Public Projects

The Work to be performed under this specification document consists of the furnishing of all work including mobilization, supervision, personal protective training and equipment, confined space requirements, transportation, testing, materials, labor, tools, and equipment for; installation of new window screens must conform to NSF Standard 61. Work included in these specifications requires, familiarity with the operation of a municipal water treatment plant.

Project consists of: Property upgrades and modifications to the Beale Street Landing facility, including but not limited to the installation of a new debris baffle system within the Wolf River Harbor, walkway demolition, grading, landscaping, guardrail removal, fencing installation, and building envelope improvements.

Install a water service line and water meter to the point of connection shown on the drawings; electric service line, conduit, pad, pad-mount transformer and meter-set to the point of connection shown on the drawings; conduit and telecommunications lines to the point of connection shown on the drawings; security entrance equipment inside the pre-engineered metal building at each door.

This project consists of the renovation of an existing 8,300 sf wood-framed building. This will house the new Crisis Center for Desoto County. The construction type will remain Type VB. New interior framing to be metal stud. The building will have an automatic sprinkler system. This will be classified as a mixed-use occupancy R-4 & B. This project also includes the addition of a new 2,200 SF courtroom building which will serve the Crisis Center. The construction will be metal framed with metal trusses. The exterior has concrete block & metal panel cladding. The occupancy type is A-3. The courtroom is not sprinklered. The work shall include all civil, landscape, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and electrical work, ETC.

The project is to renovate the former Automotive Technology and Welding Technology training areas.

Memphis Fire has identified the need to renovate many of our older stations. These renovations would include adding cubicles to the existing open bed halls, providing locker rooms, and retrofitting the stations to more energy efficient LED lighting. Bidders are required to bid on all 6 fire stations.

a) Modernize existing elevators including new hydraulic pump units, controllers (6- total). b) Provide new cab finishes in four passenger elevators. c) Upgrade existing electrical to accommodate new elevator equipment. d) Add or modify existing fire alarm devices to accommodate new elevator equipment. e) Add new mini-split air-conditioning units to existing elevator equipment rooms.

Remove 1 layer of existing roofing system down to the decking. · Inspect decking and repair all areas as needed. · Install insulated boards · Build valleys in low areas where ponding occurs sowater will flow towards roof top drains. · Install new 1 layer of 1/4" Dens deck. · Prep roof for installation of new 60 mil White TPO roof system. · Install new 2"X 3" clad metal drip edge around perimeter of roof. · Install new flashing around all pipes. · Install a new 60 mil TPO Membrane, fastened with seam plates and #15 screws in accordance with the manufacturer's written specifications. · Remove all debris caused by roof work and dispose at proper landfill.

The Project consists of demolition of two existing generators and replacement of the same with two, new generators and a hardened building enclosure.

Total re-roof of existing facility as well as repairs due to storm damage both interior and exterior including building systems.
